670-yard 16th at Olympic Club is longest hole in US Open history

I'd have to go Driver, 3W, 3W, Sand Wedge to get there and I'm a 10 !

All golf holes look like 670 yards to me.

I was at Olympic in 1998, still to this day the toughest golf course I have ever seen, been to 5-6 Open over the years and nothing compares, I can only imagine what it looks like for this open.. Good lord.

Bethpage Black is is pretty crazy too. I just viewed all the quick video flyovers for the holes at Olympic. The fairways slope like crazy and the greens are tiny. Going to be so much fun to watch.

Wah! Wah! Wah! I'm a spoiled golfer and don't like it when they make things hard for me. The US Open is supposed to be a test. Every golfer on tour should be able to be hitting 5 iron or less into the green...just like us normal folk on normal holes. Why do the pro's even need so many clubs? I'd bet 90% of the time they're hitting 9 iron or less into a green. By the way I'm probalby about a 25 hdcp these days and I could reach it in 3 unless I duff one (which unfortunately happens too frequently these days) Driver, 2W and either a 3 iron or my preferred 5 wood pop fly would do it. Getting sick of these whiney spoiled golfers whining about cell phones and long holes and tall rough. Suck it up. Golf would be more interesting if cheering were allowed during a golf shot. What makes golf so special that they need total silence? At least in tennis the players judge balls by the sound they make when it is hit. In the golf the ball is sitting there, not moving. Develop some nerves boys. Golf needs some guys shouting Noonan on everyones backswing.
