Clemson took care of its business.  They finished very strong beating South Carolina to end the season and then clobbering Oklahoma.   My family includes a Clemson alum who raised his kids in Clemson, and I have a nagging impulse to remind them all gently that Clemson lost to Florida State without Jameis Winston. Technically, Notre Dame doesn't represent the ACC, but they won impressively yesterday nonetheless.   As much as anything I was reminded that the Golden Domers' schedule this season was as difficult top to bottom as most of the schedules among the SEC schools especially the schools in the SEC East.  This isn't always the case, but this season I think so.   Stanford had an even more difficult schedule than Notre Dame, and they showed up yesterday as well.   Both schools used the bowl practices to get right in a big way.
 
The Pac12 and the SEC are both taking care of business so far.  The next two days will be interesting, but I see nothing so far to change my mind that those two conferences are the best this season top to bottom.
 
Overall, I think the ACC has played well.   Last night Louisville was very competitive with Georgia in the first quarter.  In the second quarter Petrino played his freshman QB, and the QB made some costly freshman mistakes.   We are all pretty familiar with the freshman learning curve at the QB position.  In the second half Louisville remained competitive but was never able to recover.
