The box score is extremely misleading for a variety of reasons. If you're running HB Dive all day instead of sweeping and countering and letting your guards and tackles run in space, you're going to get those numbers. Also have to consider that in college, sacks are negative rushing yards, not passing. No Jawhar and Markenzy didn't bring much to the stat line, but it's hard to point the finger at them.

The line wasn't great, but it wasn't a total trainwreck. There are throws that Tommy has to make and there are balls that receivers have to catch. The dropped touchdown was reminiscent of Sean Riley's drop at LSU to close the half. Syracuse had outplayed them the same way they outplayed UNC for most of the game. It all fell apart in the same manner towards the end of the third. Tommy has to be better and the receivers need to be better.

I'm not excusing them though. There were plays when they lost track of who to block and Devito would be brought down before you could say she sells seashells by the seashore. Today was not a good day.
