the inbounds play that came back to Cooney for a trey at 8:06, followed by Ennis' heady steal and layin at 7:59. Took it from a 5 point game to a 10 point game, took the air out of Cal they never challenged again . . . I believe it was at least a 3 possession game the rest of the way.

Amazing that a 40 minute game can turn on such a short segment

It was definitely a turning point although I thought we were getting ready to stretch the lead out before Cooney had his back to back turnovers that resulted in run outs for them. Another short spurt that could have effected us and Trevor very negatively had they let it but they didn't. It is amazing how much can happen in bball during short spurts and other times it seems like really not much is going on for 4-5min.

Loved it didn't see the Ennis steal to the replay and I lost it at that point.

We stopped their dribble drive late in the second half by keeping a wing forward up top so they couldn't pass the ball out of the middle and back into it for a drive. It took some defense to build some momentum and get alittle cushion.

Cal shot a flaming 51% for the game we shot a blistering 53% 50% from three and 96% from the line on 24 foul shots. Between Us, Cal and the zags offense the last few nights wow.

I was watching the score go to 67 after the Cooney trey as they showed him whooping it up down the court. Then suddenly the score went to 69 and I was like What? Eventually ESPN got around to showing why but it took a few thought cycles.

They were focused on the crowd after the Cooney three and Sean McDonough let out a huge bellow as Ennis got the steal. We were all in the dark.

That was my second-favorite instance of McDonough's Syracuse bias seeping in last night; it was awesome with about 4:40 to play when we went into the stall and Sean went on an extended monologue about Boeheim's stall preference. He didn't come out and say so, but he's not a fan.

I think Jake posted stats once about the success of the under 5 minute stall. I guess McDonough didn't read Jake's post. Speaking of, wherever you are Jake, please come back to the board.

Jake has been spending his time on the pay side.

JB has a slide rule and based upon the time left, the lead and the FT% of the team he knows exactly when to go to stalk ball. He's the master of having a 6 point lead and pulling out a 1-2 point win while giving us fans heart palpitations.
