7 touchdown passes

My fantasy QB...LAST YEAR! Won the league. Of course, didn't come close to getting him this year because I'm at the bottom of the draft order. :(

Oh, and, GO BRONCOS!

Love it. Broncos are off to a good start.

Here's hoping we can have a little of that same magic on Saturday!

I picked Brees and passed on manning. Does not look like wise move in hindsight.

And 5 of them came in the 2nd half.

I have Brady. Now in most years that would be awesome, but with his targets this year, I'm not so sure.

Oh, I also have Demarius Thomas, which works out well with Manning throwing 7 TDs.

This was an interesting nugget they tossed out on Mike and Mike this morning: Elway, Staubach, Unitas, and Bradshaw never once threw for both 300 yards and 5 TDs in a single game. Peyton Manning did that in the SECOND HALF ALONE last night.

Unitas would not have been throwing td's last night up by that much. he called his own plays and would have been trying to run the clock out not score.

At the same time, 1) it was only a 15 point game with about 8 minutes left and this was a game in which the Broncos had scored 21 points in six minutes, and 2) the seventh TD pass was on a WR screen that Thomas just broke, so it wasn't like they were bombing it downfield.

The day that Y.A. Tittle was performing his magic at Yankee Stadium vs the Redskins I was at the N.Y. Titans vs San Diego Chargers game in the old Polo Grounds. While the Titans won that game, there could not have been more than 25-30k fans in attendance and we exited the Polo Grounds through a gate in center field. Both parks were located directly across from one another separated by the Harlem River. It was a cloudy dark and dank day and the Giant game was still in progress. The Yankee Stadium lights for the field were lit and you could hear the roar of the crowd as it wafted towards us over the river. One of my friends had season tickets for the Giants and was witnessing this historic event and here I was just finishing watching the crappy NY Titans beat the equally crappy San Diego Chargers (both teams were 3-5 after that game). Talk about jealousy!!!

I have him for my league, was a little worried in the first half when he pulled the Michael Jackson move and put on the glove. Needless to say on that play he threw a dart to the TE for the score.

Couldn't find a video clip but here's an article: http://fs64sports.blogspot.com/2009/10/1962-ya-tittle-passes-for-505-yards-and.html

This is one reason why I don't like that power thing coaches do near the goal line. You march down the field doing one thing and then go into the prevent offense.

It's a great day in the Mile High city this morning! Everyone's abuzz or still has one, and then we still have the SU game tomorrow! Life is good...

I had Y.A. Tittle's son as a teacher in high school. Guy had some cool memorabilia in the classroom.

Ha. Me too! Dynasty League. Got him in the 10th round last year to backup Vick. Nobody was sure about him, obviously. Signed him to only 1 year at real cheap. You better believe I gave him a Franchise Tag in the offseason!! 67 points last night, lol!

Oh please, Drew Allen will have 7 TDs by halftime tomorrow.

I picked up a nice Y.A. Tittle autographed jersey pretty cheap at a fundraising event last year. No one bid on it and I put down $50 even though the minimum was like $200 and they still accepted it.

Geno Smith threw for 8 against Baylor I'm sure he'll do it week 1 for the Jets.

That might be his total for the season.

I'd be surprised if Geno hits 7 TD's in his NFL career. Congrats to Peyton.
