just wanted to add that the 7th bowl is about access...and the BCS and Top 5 Power conferences were not going to risk a good thing by not allowing a bowl that would include a non contracted conference/independents (source indicated legal implications). Note that the opposite team in this bowl will most likely be a Top 5 Power Conference Team...more dollars coming to Top 5 Power conferences. This was not a bone to the BE...but a bone to the other NON Top 5 Power Conferences--now everyone happy?
