In 1987, after Syracuse beat UNC to advance to the Final Four, my father took me to the airport to watch the team fly into Hanock after the game.

When Sherman Douglas took the podium, in typical fashion for the ultimate competitor ever to lace 'em up for the Orangemen, he tried to stop the crowd from cheering by declaring that the team's work wasn't over. "Two more victories...two more victories..." is how he put it.

Well, we are 8 more victories away from cutting down the nets.

I believe.

All in.

Let's Go Orange!!!

8 more victories away from 1 of the greatest seasons in college basketball history.

I was there too with my father and remember Sherm saying that.

8 more. 39-1 All in.

Marsh--mi familia--you and I have been all over this "all in" philosophy early on.

This team is special.

And the ride is just beginning...

No doubt. Special seasons like this rarely end in disappointment.

If we finish 39-1, then you would have to consider that to be at worst tied for the second greatest season in college basketball history.

How many teams have ever had a record like that?

Garden should be rocking tonight. With uconn bounced and the remaining teams being far away geographically from NYC, I'd expect Syracuse fans to dominate.

LGO!!!

Being an avid Texas Hold 'Em player, I love all of this "all in" talk. I still want to organize a syracusefan.com Hold 'Em Tourney.

And yes, all my chips are in the middle...and any non-believers are drawing dead!

I've been all in from day 1. I even know the originator of" all in". thank Giants.com for it. After this years Super Bowl Champ All IN we parlayed it over to SU basketball. Fortunately I was wrong on them going 29-2 and winning the championship it will be 39-1 and a championship. Hey it's one game. LGO

All in and loving every moment of it!
