Robey, and Frank the only two that I expect to miss at least one. And they are two bench guys, so that works. I think Frankie would make em both under pressure. Robey not so much.

Free Throws very well may be the difference between this team and one who doesn't cut it in March.

Without the free throw shooting (mainly from our occasionally-maligned graduate transfers), there's no doubt that we're looking at a losing record right now.

Their performance from the line is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen and proves definitively that free throw shooting does matter and should be an emphasis. Free points earn wins over better teams.

Is this the best Ft shooting team we've ever had?

.722. I think it's the highest of the Boeheim era, and it's not close. Might've shot around .705 in 2003.

Edit: According to the media guide, I'm way off. The two best seasons in school history are .751 in 1984 and .749 in 1981. But .722 is very good, it'd be the best since 1984.

We've only shot better than .700 twice this century (.715 in 2001 and .708 in 2014) and have bottomed out at .643 twice (2004 and 2006) in that time. We shot .705 in 2000 and .715 in 1994. And SU shot .715 in 1985. Apparently the early '80s were a good time for free throws.

We shot .600 in 1988, when we were preseason #1 and then managed to lose 9 games by an average margin of 3 (including 8 games each by four points or fewer). That's pretty much the polar opposite of this season.
