To go... 6 hours down! Getting to the ATL for some grits and gravy! Sothern hospitality...

Enjoy, my man, enjoy! However, if you have never been to ATL (Atlanta) you will likely be surprised. I have found it comical to read articles and posts about Atlanta and the talk about how different it is than other cities. Atlanta is HUGE... don't just look at the population demographics on wikipedia, it is one sprawled out city similar in some ways to LA (on a smaller scale of course).

Unless you live in NYC, the biggest shock you will find is how progressive and fast paced it is. If you live in Syracuse and have never ventured southward, you will probably also find that it is not only faster paced than you are used to but not as friendly. It is all relative. ATL is a big city, I lived there for years and now am in Tampa. I am glad to no longer be the there because it is to hectic and over crowded. I have also lived in many other places in the south which reflect what some say about slower, friendlier, and other such things. I wouldn't argue that point in those places where I have lived but Atlanta is not one of them.
