December 21st is the first day JUCO transfers can sign letters of intent to enroll at BCS schools and matriculate for the spring semester. If we are going to land any JUCOs this year that will be early enrollees, it will happen soon.

Might be the first year of the DM era where we do not tap the JUCO ranks.

how can we forget dec 21 2012????!!!!

we are doomed!!!

DOOMED, I TELL YOU!!!

oh you meant, 2011.

:noidea:

Oh Lord

Darkest day of the year. I would like to see a few impact players but not counting on it.

Other famous memorable events on Dec 21 include the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth Roch and Apolo 8 launched the first manned mission to the moon. For what it's worth to those interested...:)

Wait- so you want impact JUCO guys? Guys who weren't physically mature enough coming out of high school for the rigors of Division 1 football or didn't have the grades for it but developed into better players somewhat unexpectedly?

You crap on Marrone for not getting enough impact players out of high school, then want the same type of player two years later who has matured in the same way many of Marrone's players can be expected to over the same time period?

Were the Pilgrims JUCOs?

I thought JUCO guys were mostly academic or disciplinary problems, not untalented guys.

I present to you Steve Maw, who started at Right Tackle for West Virginia in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl. I graduated from Central Square with Maw, who was 6'7", 330 pounds, and really goofy. I didn't even know he played football.

After High School, he went to Community College and suddenly matured physically. He played well enough in CC to earn a spot on the West Virginia football team for three seasons.

He never started, aside from the game against Oklahoma. But he played a key role in an early touchdown run that helped start the blowout.

JUCO is another option for kids who might not be ready for college, like prep school.

LeMoyne you should really try decaf. Im not craping on Doug i would just like a few impact players. How about an impact Wr or RB or DE or kickoff specialist. I think we would all like that. Also i have never given doug a hard time about his recruits just his coaching of them. chill
