Not sure how I  missed this thread. On Sunday morning my wife was taking forever getting ready for church. I opened up my Email and read my saved emails from Dan. Dan always asked about my daughter and was always concerned about her health. We had many long talks about Softball and the Ernie Davis statue!

I remember one time in 2005 I was on a range in 29 Palms Calf. I was training my Marines on the 50 Caliber Machine gun before going to Iraq.  Dan calls me out of the blue. He was so exited about something (I don't remember what it was) I was trying to tell him I couldn't talk right now but he was on one of his amassing exited rants. All of a sudden we start shooting the machine guns witch are extremely loud.   After about 30 seconds of shooting Dan said "what was that", I said "we are shooting heavy Machine guns". He said "you all most gave me a heart attack" Then he said "I guess your busy I'll call you later"  Just a little memorie of Dan that makes me chuckle!
