-Cooney's offense does not need mentioning again but I really loved what I saw from him on D. I don't think I really saw it discussed much. He understands the zone almost as well as MCW and BT already - the positioning is fantastic. He has real good size and strength, too.
-Loved the starters at guard having as many boards as the starting frontline. Didn't love the starting frontline having as many boards as the G's.
-I wasn't concerned about Ennis, at all. Just a few missed shots, maybe first game jitters or just a bad game. When 15 boards/assists is a bad game, then we're in for a great year. -
-This might be too early to call this but if DC does improve, and Rak shows up like he did in the 2nd, DC will be getting 5-7 mins a game this year, esp. if Roberson figures things out. I get why some are concerned with DC putting us in a hole. However, there are many reasons kids will get mins and it doesn't matter when they get them.
-One last thing that we have to remember this year is that come ACC time, JB is going to go with with TE, TC, CJ, JG and Baye. Rak and G will be 6 and 7. I'm comfortable with that five and bench taking us to the S16/E8 and then see how the matchups work out or how the ball bounces from there.
