I agree with Quint that last weekend (and this season) has been a great step in the right direction regarding pace of play thanks to the shot clock. I'd like to ask him if all of the "purists, administrators and some coaches" who were opposed to the addition of a shot clock were mostly based in Maryland because I haven't met many lacrosse enthusiasts from CNY, WNY, LI, or HV who were against it. And the game is still over-coached because the shot clock is too long (should be 60 seconds or less). Make it a 60 or 45 second shot clock if the game is truly to be given back to the players. Until then, the free flowing nature of the game will continue to be diminished by coaching induced specialization. I'm grateful the first step was finally taken in 2019. I hope the game continues to evolve from a coach joystick-ing players through specialization to watching players compete. /end rant
