Where did someone say that none  care about academics?  The fact is it is not their first priority. The whole idea of priorities is that there are many things in the equation.  Most means "not all" last I knew but I do see how it looked the way I stated it. Yet who on NC, Kentucky, Syracuse Michigan or any of the major programs doesn't think they have NBA in their future?  That is the whole point you refuse to acknowledge.  Who cares if they leave early?  No one (except their fan base for that school), it just proves the point that education is not the first priority.  That part is simple I thought.  No one is disparaging their aspirations for the NBA. How do you construe that as disdain? It is not and I would have left early and go pro and get my education in the off season or at the end of my career. Sadly I did not have near enough talent in my sport to even think that. I don't want players coming here to SU on scholarship if they don't think they can have a chance at the NBA.  I want a great team every year.  Some realize soon they had better complete their degrees and good for them.  Others make the NBA for uncertain lengths of time. Others totally blow it and go nowhere in life.
