A Look Into The Future - A Rivalry

I just can't muster any real hatred for Louisville. I really respect their program and fan base far too much. Still moving to the ACC, we have to understand that Louisville, Pitt, Notre Dame and BC are the only schools who might consider us their primary conference rival. Of those, Louisville is by far the most attractive.

Louisville. Go Orange

You said, "Still moving to the ACC, we have to understand that Louisville, Pitt, Notre Dame and BC are the only schools who might consider us their primary conference rival."

Why is that? Is it because in your opinion the current ACC schools would never deign to give SU "rival" status?

Why UL and not Pitt ... a school we have a 60 year history with?
Why UL and not BC ... another long time opponent and fellow private school that is close by, in a state we get a lot of students from and against whom some have a longstanding grudge because they left the Big East in 2003?
Why UL and not ND ... a fellow private school we have a history with including the great controversy of 1961?

I see UL as just another team on the schedule.
