To me that's a massive part of the game and understands the Syracuse basketball world. I really don't want to do a national search and end up with GERG like coach who on paper looks awesome but has no clue what the SU job entails.

Rick Pitino, NBA coach was mediocre. NBA GM he was maybe the worst ever. Had he gotten Tim Duncan...sliding doors. Of course I don't want him within 30 feet of the Boston Celtics now.

Rick Pitino, college coach sign me up. I think he's one of the very best of all time at providing a successful program. He's done it in the Big East, the ACC, the SEC. Can recruit out of a paper bag. I used to hold my nose with him and his "transgressions". At this point I really don't care anymore. If he could provide SU with 6 good seasons and get them back to where they were, sign me up.
