Unless we can sign multiple year deals with incoming frosh or unless they are bonafide stars why waste time and money on them.  None of them will come for free. All of them want to start. Red is a good recruiter. Very good at nurturing the kids from a personal standpoint. More like a Dad than coach. In my opinion he isnt the brightest bulb in the lamp and simply doesnt have the chops to beat equally or more talented teams via his coaching.  I also dont think he has the ability to excell at all of the other skills requred to run a major program.  Good dog cant hunt. 
He will get next year and if any progress is shown and Melo and those in charge sign off, he will also get a fourth year which unless he does well will be his last.
