The left side is busted beyond belief. Teams remaining: Average seed = 6.9
  • (3) Michigan
  • (4) Gonzaga
  • (5) Kentucky
  • (7) Texas A&M
  • (7) Nevada
  • (9) Florida State
  • (9) Kansas State
  • (11) Loyola-Chicago
Compared to the right side: Average seed = 3.8
  • (1) Villanova
  • (1) Kansas
  • (2) Duke
  • (2) Purdue
  • (3) Texas Tech
  • (5) West Virginia
  • (5) Clemson
  • (11) Syracuse

Speaking of brackets, someone needs to take mine out back and put it out of its misery. The Xavier loss was the final nail in the coffin.

Syracuse put the final nail in mine.:)

Michigan-Kentucky on one side in the Final Four.

Villanova in the East.
Our region open.

If we made it to the title game, that might be the easiest game of the tournament left on paper. We would have run one crazy gauntlet by then...

ASU, TCU, Michigan State, Duke, Kansas, Villanova.

5 different conferences.
4 teams that have essentially been in the top 10, if not top 5, all year.

And ASU top 10 early in the year, TCU ranked for a good portion of it.

No doubt that side just blew up. If UNC and Virginia did their part it would have been 3 ACC teams in each. Oh well.
