We go almost one full calendar month without a Saturday game. On September 28th we play Holy Cross, and then it's a three week stretch of bye week/Thurs game/Friday game before our game against FSU on October 26th.

My guess would be that this is the longest in-season stretch without a Saturday game in SU football history.

I think that sucks. I love Saturday college football and that is right when the season really starts getting momentum. The leaves start changing/falling, the air is crisp, pumpkins, apple cedar, pumpkin beer. I am not a fan of playing during the week unless it’s the Friday after Thanksgiving or a bowl.

All that said we did beat Clemson on a Friday night and that’s the best game I’ve been to in a long time. Hell maybe ever.

My guess would be that this is the longest in-season stretch without a Saturday game in SU football history.

Saw that myself yesterday and thought it was odd to say the least. Love college football on Saturdays, going to be odd not having an SU game for a month on Saturdays.

In some ways it could be better. Love winning Friday night and then just getting to enjoy the day and flip through the various games. Go from the top noon game and switch around and hip up UConn or Rutgers for a nice laugh at their futility. Work your way through the day with no worries or butterflies in your stomach.

Your right about that, always fun coming off a win on say Fri or Thursday night and being able to watch the Sat games knowing your team already took care of business.
