yeah I saw that last night too.

That is why I think Hunt was forbidden to audible during games as the play was doomed from the beginning

I am thinking that hunt thought they were going to run blitz, he pitches outside and moore is off to the races. the way the RT got beat even a handoff was doomed.

Just what was the play called, that hunt decided THIS, had a better chance for success?????

They both should've been benched, but 1 got a free pass.

if hunt had come down the line the play might work as an option play.

we were pulling a tackle and a center it seems? strange way to run the play.

McDonald said Hunt read the DE correctly and went with the toss...why a toss is an option there I don't know. I can't remember seeing any team run a toss from the shotgun from their 1 yard line.

my wife came home with two more because the three year old said we need a mommy and daddy owl to go with the brother and sister owl

Go to the 25 second mark:

I'd say it was a completely unorganized, half-ass play except the two linemen swept around from the left to the right in kind of a counter-trey sort of move.
Every other Syracuse player on the field looked either aimless or confused.

I think it was Jake who said to fire the clock operator. Watch that play at the end of the first half. When West hits the ground, there's clearly 3 seconds left.

That person should get McDonald'd.

I'm not going to suggest that our offensive line pulled a tank job because they potentially knew McDonald was on the last of his 9 lives, but it would be very interesting if our offensive line play suddenly picked up significantly in the coming weeks. Some of these plays are really, really bad. Kind of like when our offensive line magically blocked a lot better for Hunt than they did for Drew Allen.

I hear the whip cracking.

Read the DEnd correctly just not the unblocked DB or the LB creeping up to the line. Was the thought the two pulling linemen would get over there in time?

Who knows, but according to McDonald it was the correct adjustment...I don't see how it could be either.

If there was someone blocking the DB #8 then the play may have worked for an ok gain. He comes in untouched and hit AAM in the endzone and the pulling lineman only make contact with at the half yard line.

The play got really blown up though by the tight end being tossed like a rag doll by that DE. I think it's Parris. People have been blaming the tackle but it's actually Parris.

If you guys want to be even more amused. Watch what Jarrod West does in the hole frame of the play. He's the receiver lined up over the DB #8. I thought to myself What is he doing - he looks lost.

Then I watched it again and again, those receivers sure act as if the play is supposed to be a bubble screen.
Wouldn't they be blocking down on a toss sweep ?

I don't know how you guys subject yourself to this stuff, I was at the game Friday, couldn't pay me to re watch one freaking play
