If that's not turning a corner, then I don't know what is.  When Marrone got here we were garbage, plain and simple.  We are now a borderline bowl team on average every year.  That is a clear and meaningful change in the state of the program.
 
Sure, we're not averaging 9 wins a year like we all expect, but let's be honest, there are a lot of corners between 2.5 wins per year and 9 wins per year.  We've taken 1, and we're in position to continue taking the rest of them.
 
I was as pessimistic as anyone when this team was down 20+points to USF a couple weeks back, but it's clear from where we sit now that this team is better than we looked at that point.  
 
We're probably closing out our last BE campaign with 5 wins, which is pretty damn good compared to where we sat not too long ago.
 
We're heading into the ACC with some momentum on the field, and some reason to believe we can take that next corner, and be a bowl team every year.
 
Look, we can argue about the pace of the turnaround being too slow, but you just cannot argue that this team has not turned a corner.
