last year threw 321 times and were sacked 21 times
this year already thrown 359 times and sacked 22 times

so the reality is last year we threw much more often when teams were playing the run, this year the complete reverse and the sack % is actually a bit down..

if ED does just a bit better job of not taking the coverage sacks the numbers would actually be down pretty good, it feels like half the sacks we not really break downs in blocking , just from holding on to the ball too long..

Better not have that in his system this week or he will be pummeled like the FSU kid was last week

Well, it's also ED avoiding the sacks, at which he is extremely adept.

But I digress. BC seemed more anomaly than norm. Dungey does a really good job at understanding the outside the tackle box throw the ball away rule that so many QBs forget during panic time.

It avoids a lot of dumb drive killing interceptions. The only reason he had that bad early one is because he assumed there would be a flag on the field so he considered it a free play, as he's done so well all season.

Considering how young and forced into action our line is, you have to be really impressed with what we're able to accomplish. This weekend will be rough, that's what happens when you play the best of the best, but this whole operation is very impressive.

Last year we didn't throw any. This year we throw them plus everything else - the variance being the key to the record numbers... including a lot of deep bombs.
