Outside of the Ivy League, why do academics matter when it comes to conferences? Do Vanderbilt grads get dinged in the academic world because Vandy's in the same athletic conference as Miss St? If the ACC fails to invite L'ville because of academics, that's just stupid.
On another note, how great would it be if the ACC could land Texas? The ACC is way more attractive to TX than the PAC12 because it's only one time zone away.
