I agree. BUT the SEC is the one that is always claiming their "bad schools" would dominate in other conferences. Clearly that isn't the case.

True. But I'd like to think the coach would be the mature one in that situation. And yes - I think Shafer could have handled himself better in some situations this year also.

Those three wins are great for conference bragging rights but are not in the wow category in my opinion. It does show that poor SEC teams would not beat good teams from other conferences despite all the claims of superiority by SEC fans.

Florida State still has to win to make this a great day for the conference.

I don't want to start a thread about this so will stick it here. Penn State - Michigan State is a rivalry game? Interesting. I mean at least we got BC (another Eastern school)

The Louisville win was very impressive sine they won with their 3rd string qb throwing for nearly 400 yards, he had to replace the starter with an injury early in the game, you might remember that starter who made his debut and beat us, oh the backup today was also a freshman .

Why yes, PSU and MSU have a great rivalry tradition going all the way back to when PSU joined the B1G. Neither cares about each other but the B1G designated it as a rivalry game (seemingly overlooking MSU's hatred of UM, which was mutual) because UM hates tOSU and that one gets on TV much more while PSU having not played B1G schools very often must hate someone (missing the obvious Pitt, Syracuse and WVU). Thus the B1G powers that be determined that PSU and MSU must be a rivalry because they hate each other. The memo was disbursed and everyone now knows that PSU and MSU hate each other. If only the fans would catch on to this rivalry thing as directed by TV and the conference powers, we could all get along nicely. I mean, what say do fans have in a rivalry anyway?
