ACC announces conference championship game will remain in Charlotte through 2019

Good. Only place for it if it is going to be played at a neutral sight. It's the only place in the ACC footprint that ACC football isn't considered second-class to the SEC or pro sports. Charlotte is perfect. If it fails there, then it's time to do home stadiums.

agree - Charlotte is the perfect spot for this game

cant argue that.

centrally located to.

for us Orange, if theyre playing in the champ game, then that means we will likely have a shot at a florida bowl, maybe the even the Orange if the record is there and the opponent is playing for the F4...so i hate to say it, but we wont be traveling anyway to this game. gotta make a $$ choice. but for those that do, this is a much easier spot to get to as many will or could drive.

They should move it the home stadium of the team with the better conference record/(in the case of a tie) ranking in whatever post-BCS mess the powers at be are cooking up.

I have been to the last 3 ACC title games here in Charlotte. The first one I missed with VPI-FSU had good attendance more VPI fans as FSU was more happy to be back in the game with Jimbo Fisher.

The 3 I have been to 2 of them have been successful Clemson-Virginia Tech, and Duke-Florida State. Both of these games had great crowds and Charlotte supported the game well. In 2012 Georgia Tech-Florida State had bad attendance because Georgia Tech brought nobody and was 6-6. Charlotte is the best location because of all the transplants in the region.

Anybody have ticket info so I can plan ahead for my trip to Charlotte to see Syracuse vs Miami in the championship game! Good to plan ahead y'know.

Not that I'm booking my hotels for this game anytime soon, but a pretty good amount of CNY transplants in North Carolina. If the DC alums make the trip (~6 hours in the car), I bet we'd show fairly well. We won't be confused with VT (many more traveling fans and it's only a 3 hour drive), but I'd guess considerably better than our fanbase peer group of Miami, BC, Pitt.

Tickets are cheap for the ACC title game honestly. I have sat in the FSU section the last 2 years and got tickets in the lower bowl for about 70 dollars. Unless UNC or NC State play VPI/Clemson/FSU the place tickets won't be hard. The first year I went was the best VPI vs Clemson and I met Brent Musberger at breakfast the morning of the game and got to listen to him talk about sports gambling and it was great.
