I have, sadly, been part of a project to take a fantastic business concept to market even though we made it at a loss.  The idea was that economies of scale would help, and other miracles would happen and it would all work out.  It did not all work out.  This feels very similar - bring together a bunch of basketball brands that aren’t what they once were, then nostalgia and other currently unspecified miracles will happen and carry this to financial viability.

I particularly like the version which appears to throw a bone to UConn and adds their football to whatever this mess of insanity is.  Why exactly do we want to throw UConn a lifeline to their drowning athletic department?  And why do the ACC schools suddenly want to forgive UConn suing them?
