Why the hell not? Here are my divisions. Every team plays everyone in their division, and both of their primary rivals each season. Rotate the others. Eight Conference games plus ND where applicable.

COASTAL DIVISION

FSU (Pittsburgh & Louisville)
Clemson (Miami & UNC)
Syracuse (Boston College & Pitt)
Georgia Tech (Louisville & Virginia Tech)
NC State (UNC & Duke)
Virginia(Virginia Tech & Boston College)
Wake Forest (Duke & Miami)

ATLANTIC DIVISION
Miami (Clemson & Wake Forest)
Louisville (Georgia Tech & FSU)
Boston Coll. (Syracuse & Virginia)
Virginia Tech (Virginia & Georgia Tech)
UNC (NC State & Clemson)
Duke (Wake Forest & NC State)
Pitt (FSU & Syracuse)

Don't care for it. SU is clearly a fish out of water here. Plus, 6 division games and 2 permanent cross-overs fills the 8-game schedule.
