I think sometimes folks can think there's an element of it that's fake but it really isn't. He's kind of in the mold of Dabo Sweeney in that he really believes his role in life is to make better men and to get them out of bad situations. He was lucky to escape it and wants others too. The best interview he did was the original podcast he did with ESPN post hiring last spring with Pete Thamel and Reece Davis. He opens up and talks about the bike ride back to his apartment after every game in Carolina because he had no family to celebrate with is heart breaking but also tells you so much about him.
