It's easy to say that Brady made Belichek, and there's an element of truth to that, but look at how many players did nothing, went to the Patriots and became stars, then disappeared after they left. Belichek was masterful at finding roles players who could only do one thing well, and then putting them in a spot to only have to do that one thing.

It is entirely clear to me that Brady is a top 5 QB of all time. But he won at least twice as many super bowls as any of the other QBs in the GOAT conversation... Some of that credit has to go to Belichek.

It's a discussion had many times by Patriot fans, as to who made who between that pair.

Nevertheless, I find it ironic that many Patriot fans think Belichek is the GOAT of NFL coaches, and that his legacy is tarnished by his bad GM skills, yet that's what he decided to do in college.
