1. Jackman, peace is for sissies. Get in there and arbitrate.  Oh, and merry christmas.

Notre Dame is just about in, just need to finish the deal -- which comes down to 1) revenue sharing - maybe a little bit unequal is OK if everyone gets more, 2) scheduling -- maybe seven conference games is enough after all, maybe Navy is a conference game, and 3) geography; maybe ND prefers bus trips, which might elevate Cincy over UConn.
3. The SEC experiment is working for A&M. Texas must be feeling the heat. The PAC16 has room for four spots, if ND gets their own ACC pod, why can't Texas do the same in the PAC 12? If the 64 team superconference were to happen, the B12 would be the Austria-Hungary of the diplomacy game.
4. NC State is the most likely to leave. The feel like they are expendable because, well, the ACC has a whole bunch of schools in NC. The SEC would love to add NC as another state. Plus, the current AD at NCSU used to be the AD at Maryland. Typhoon Debbie.
5. Least likely to leave is UVa. Virginia is farther south than Florida and football is an afterthought. Forget the map, read history.
6. The idea that football can or should completely drive conference affiliation is a dumb idea that will die rather quickly. How about a 32 team east coast league with performance-driven divisions for football and basketball and geographic divisions for all other sports? Of course, the stupid twerps will be playing lacrosse in the midwest, but I guess that just can't be helped.
