Sorry, but the ACC bowl tie-ins are incredibly weak. Conference needs to do a much better job lining up better bowls. When Camping World is your #2 bowl you’re doing a poor job.

It's not the #2 bowl.

I like Charlotte, Orlando and Nashville as options

Like the fact they are warmer weather and East Coast

I’d replace the Sun Bowl with one in Phoenix (not the Fiesta, lol)

Normally #2 would get the Orange Bowl (assuming that #1 goes to the playoff), but once every 3 years when the Orange hosts the semi-final, our #2 team has to earn a NY6 spot.

10-2 would have gotten it done.

And there's also the other loophole that if one of the Orange Bowl selects a Big10 team to play the ACC team then that frees up their spot in the Citrus Bowl for an ACC team. This would probably be likely this year with UM and OSU both looking for NY6 games.

So yeah, in most years the Camping World is #3 or #4 choice from the ACC.

But yeah, it's fine on the years the Orange isn't part of the playoff, but its definitely lacking a bit every three years.

The ACC will get better non-NY6 bowls when it has more consistency from the likes of Miami, VT, Louisville, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse to go along with Clemson and FSU.

Cheers,
Neil

The Sun Bowl is great.

Locals will go to the game, so we won’t look like chumps on TV. Since a 7-5 BC/Miami/GT team isn’t going to travel anywhere, looking good on TV is a biggie.

Ya but the Camping World Bowl is really the Citrus Bowl (among other names). That was always a prestigious bowl . I'm actually going to continue to call it the Citrus Bowl because it sounds so much better.

Ahhh i stand corrected. So hard to keep track of all these name changes. I thought the Citrus changed to the Carquest and I knew the Camping World used to be the Carquest. So what bowl is the Citrus now?
What's confusing? The Citrus Bowl is the bowl formerly known as the Tangerine Bowl played in Orlando. The Camping World Bowl is the bowl formerly known as the Tangerine Bowl played in Orlando.

Orlando has THREE bowls this year

1. Dec 15: Autonation Cure Bowl (AAC vs Sun Belt)

2. Dec 28: Camping World Bowl (ACC vs Big12)

3. Jan 1: Citrus Bowl (Big Ten vs SEC)
