Dook could enter the SEC or BT with UNC, and Dook basketball would be fine, probably with no drop off, because the school type and size does not apply to basketball quality and influence/status anywhere near as much as it does to football. But ND football would rather quickly realize that to the SEC or BT and their members, ND is just another small, private school that has basically no say and no status.
