Is that crazy? Of course it is. But either ESPN will finally pay the ACC what it is worth, or the ACC will be forced to respond in some way that is bound to break open somebody's bank. The ACC cannot sit by for a decade while this revenue disparity increases. If ESPN has decided to bankroll the SEC expending to perhaps 20, maybe even 24, that is what ESPN plans to do: bleed the ACC dry.

I think Jay Bilas advocated for an ACC-SEC merger because he knows there are elements in the SEC offices and at ESPN that would like to do just that.
