They do not want a semi-pro team located a university. They see that mentality as a perversion of the sport. So I can see BT online actors pretending to be SEC people who want CFB's 'elite' to become a Pro league. That way they mock those they see as beneath them in class.

But there is such a thing, and it is rather common, of blowback, of your dirty tricks being thrown back at you by those who take the ideas seriously. SEC types know that the BT is a permanent whore for money. They know that means that the BT deep down really is all about 'pro' football but lacks the self-awareness to see that.

The one of those professed SEC people that I am confident in a BT person acting still insists that the BT will now lay its plans to break up the ACC. He says the SEC will be OK with the BT taking UNC and UVA, because the SEC will take Clemson and FSU.

Neither the BT nor the SEC can be trusted. Each has a large number of power brokers who see the CFB landscape the way that Gordon Gekko sees Wall Street.
