The only thing that fixes this is that it burns to the ground and we start over. Ratings need to drop so that TV loses money and the stupidity stops. Do I expect that to happen? Absolutely not. We live in a land of addiction. Some are addicted to alcohol, some to gambling. Many are addicted to sports, and they will watch what the powers that be put in front of them. So the B1G and SEC will continue to get great ratings, not just because their fanbases are rabid but also because the fanbases of other leagues can't peel their eyeballs away. I didn't watch one conference SEC or B1G game this year (I'm doing the same with basketball). So, I think I did my part to even the playing field. There are millions of fans that have allegiance to schools outside the elite 2 that could do the same thing.
