Seems to me the boys over at the four letter network just looked at the final ACC standings and blindly rated our QBs, RBs, and WRs. Rating our stable of RBs at #13 is laughable. If anyone watched our offense during the spurts when ED was healthy, there is no way ED rates as #9. ED will be top 4 in the league given some luck with health. Heck, he would have been top 6 last year with better luck. We conservatively could have better QB play this year than BC, WF, NCST, PITT, and VT. No problem, I like being under the radar. Go CUSE!

I think they have it right if you're basing it on actual production last year and then assume a modest bump due to Babers. I think what they have wrong is the "modest bump" part. I'm really interested in seeing where Dungey ends up at the end of the year. I wouldn't be shocked to see him top 3, behind UNC's QB and Watson.

Screw ESPN. And why would we let those @#$#@ers define us, anyways?
I agree, but they set the narrative for the ignorant majority (including most sports journalists), and it would be nice to have some positive buzz going into the season. But, I think we will have that next year when these folks are jumping on the Baberwagon.

Bad teams are always seen as bad until they're no longer bad. It's the curse of trying to stand out in a crowded field.

ESPN as an organization is laughable...I don't know why you thought this would be any different.

I don't know why you are upset. We finished 3-9 last season. Take off the orange colored glasses and get realistic for a moment.

Just because an article isn't positive towards our team doesn't mean it was blindly rated. I'd rate Dungey 9th right now because he got hurt on two separate occasions last year, and you can't forecast based on what YOU think will happen. Dungey could be excellent this year, or we could realize that over a 12 game season that he's average or he can't stay healthy.

Our stable of running backs being at 13 is very realistic. We started a true freshman who was just OK last year, George Morris is terrible, and Strickland wasn't an RB last season. Moe Neal is a true freshman.

Being under the radar is great. But there's no slant on ESPN's part here. Don't be so sensitive and realize the national media is doing their job.

Easy now, I am not upset, not losing sleep. However, this is a prediction of our 2016 performance, where 2015 shouldn't be too involved. Its about these media outlets doing their due diligence and trying to predict the ACC in 2016. That said if you think Frederick's and company are #13 then you haven't been paying attention and ED even from his limited play last year is easily extrapolated as a top 5 ACC qb. If you are an ESPN fan, I am sorry.

"Easily extrapolated" - not so sure about that. He showed a lot of promise and could be top 5 this year. But in the full games he played, he looked very good for a half and then poor the other half way too often.

I think he'll contend with Nassib's senior year numbers this year, so I'm not a detractor. But he was too inconsistent to be top 5 in the ACC last year. Injuries or not.

We have another year or two before things get materially better. However, I think we will see flashes of what is ahead this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see a significant upset win. As the year progresses the staff quality will begin to show on the field. Therefore I could care less what ESPN thinks.

What Crusty said. We go bowling but we see what is on the horizon.

Pre-season b.s. is what this is all about, plus clicks to their site. Post season awards mean soooooooooo much more!!!!

How do you predict future results without looking into the past? Dino hasn't coached a game for us so you have to base everything off last year.

I've definitely been paying attention. I think Fredericks/Strickland will be a great backfield for us, but I can understand, based on last season, why they are ranked 13th.

I'm also certainly not an ESPN fan. But I'm also not a conspiracy theorist and don't believe everyone's out to get us.

Yep. Show it on the field. If you are a neutral observer, you're going to put our optimism ahead of the optimism of every other fanbase and all their players after our 3-9, 4-8 finishes the past 2 years?

We all strongly believe Dino is our x factor. But he hasn't coached a game yet here. Not to mention that his head coaching record shows, and every soundbyte of his says, that some point in year 2 is when things take off.

Yep. We all think we're going to be better at last year's questionable positions.
