We'll take our lumps of defense but I'm optimistic because Vance Bedford (our old DC) played a lot of backups last season and ran a ton of 3-4 and 3-3-5 to go along with our base 4-3 defense.  Petrino hired Todd Grantham out of Georgia who runs the 3-4 and he's got experience at every level of football.  Georgia's 2012 defense was ranked in the top 5, although they took a step back last season due to youth and injuries.  I think we're only returning 5 starters on defense but there's a lot of young talent coming back.
