A pleasure to have rival ACC fans visit this board...95% of them of are not insecure trolls unlike the nBE rivals that would visit here. Yes, Yukon and Rutgirls I'm looking at you two.

Not all nBE posters were bad...Louisville/Pitt visitors here in the past are good posters...WVU fans are mostly batsh!t crazy in a funny way and most of the Catholic school fans (GTown/Nova/SJU) were junior Yukon wannabes.

Disclaimer: NCSt fans haven't found this board yet so I reserve the right to change my opinion.

Maybe the ACC did a good job of inviting the right members of the former Big East. With Miami, VT, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Notre Dame, and Syracuse, the ACC has a lot of the Big East now part of the ACC. Sounds like UConn and Rutgers fans are more difficult to deal with. WVU fans I'm very familiar with. See them often around town in Richmond.

I think this is a great board, and I enjoy visiting. I can't comment on the Syracuse specific stuff since I don't know much, but the ACC stuff is great.

Rutgers fans are NC State fans with less wins.

UCONN doesn't have football fans.

;)

NCSU fans cannot type so we'll be fine.

You should pray that Wuffies never find this board. The average Moo fan is insignificantly less nuts than the average WVU fan.

In the original ACC, the worst fans were Maryland. They were so bad, in yelling profanities and tossing stuff at visiitng fans and even players on the sidelines, that Navy cancelled the football series.

SoCar fans were 2nd worst. They always acted like the Loser version of low rent SEC fans - think Miss St.

As one of our posters noted in the past, the worst fight he ever saw in the stands of Scott Stadium was between two liquored-up NCSU fans. The UVa fans just sat there with their jaws in their laps watching them.
I have no doubt that is a true story.

A guy I work with went to Maryland in the late 90s/early 2000s and told me he saw students throw batteries at Duke players parents.

Oh, yes. They hit Boozer's mother with a thrown plastic Coke bottle. It's one thing for their students to yell, "You s uck" during "Rock and Roll, Part 2" but it's quite another when you see 30-somethings yelling it right along with them. Everyone was sad when Maryland left for the B1G, but no one was sad when they took their fans with them.

Maryland fans are notorious in College Park. It is very unwise to park your vehicle anywhere near campus as an opposing fan. There is a garage at the College Park metro stop that is somewhat safe. It's just better overall to no longer have to deal with obnoxious, vulgar fans and have to be concerned about vandalism to support your team. Don't miss Maryland at all.

If they show up, Maryland fans are notorious anywhere.

Many years ago, a UNC fan who was originally from some small town in western PA, said his theory on why Maryland fans became so nasty is that the school started recruiting tons of students from Philadelphia. His view was that Philadelphia people are the least decent sports fans in America.

That's an interesting perspective. Maybe so, but Philadelphia people are mixed. Eagles fans are bad, but Phillies fans are OK. So I don't know. But it's an interesting take.
