That is a big difference. Part of that is FSU being an upstart program (1954). But that fact likely is a reason to NOT take them. Pretty much up until the 80s they were like how we view UCF today. The SEC has been around since 1932. Every team they have added has been playing FB since the 1800s. FSU is not one of the good ol boys.

There are plenty of reasons to not take FSU, while there is reason to take Clemson, a Carolina school, and a Virginia school.

As to the B16, Clemson gets the B16 into the South and is a big time program. But they aren't a big academic fit. The counter to that is, neither was Nebraska and they are in the B16. I think they have a better chance than FSU, but neither have a good chance.
