I would look at people who could and think, "How the **** do they do that?" I would be sore as hell, especially in the beginning. Holding poses is really hard. And progress is not immediate. It takes years. I've been practicing for probably 16-17 years (I cannot remember exactly when I started) to get to where I am. But, if you start it, keep at it, and do it a couple of times a week, over time, you will feel yourself start to loosen up. Just don't expect immediate results.
