Philosophically - Bobby is a fantastic communicator who develops great bonds with his personnel. He is an experienced coach, and being a position coach is something that he can more than handle.

Why didn't this translate to production?

Largely as a bi-product of our offense. I hate hearing things like, our WR's can't get open, we suck against man coverage, no separation, bla, bla, bla. It's all BS.

Our WR's ran crisp routes and created separation. Our QB play was horrendous. Nothing against Zack Mahoney, but, he's simply not accurate. Furthermore, even when Dungey was in, he was still a true FR adjusting to the speed of the game and a new offense. It's why we used so much option in the latter part of the year. We weren't consistent enough through the air, or with our Inside Zone, to continue to move the chains. Furthermore, because we became less dynamic, we became easier to defend. There are many reasons that ultimately culminated with low production.

This is just scratching the surface of everything. It can be described in much greater detail, but, it's not really necessary.

IMO Coach Acosta is a talented and really over qualified Position Coach.
