His tenure is forever tainted by how he let Maryland push around the WLAX team.

From what I understand, that decision was driven by Coach Gait and the team. Don’t believe it was some thing John himself wanted to do, but he felt If the staff and players felt strongly this was what they wanted to do, he would not stand in their way. It is a shame the lacrosse teams didn’t get a chance to get 2 national championships. I think it was a realistic possibility.
