He's definitely right with 1 thing. Social Media is huge. I don't see how every coach does not require each staff member to have a twitter/facebook account. Almost all these recruits have 1 or the other, or both. It's the main way of communication these days. In silent periods where the only way you can speak to a recruit is if they contact you, what do you think the easiest way is? I don't see many 15-18 year olds picking up the old phone and calling someone. No, they are going to DM them on twitter, or Facebook message them when they are already on whatever social media device they are using. It doesn't matter if the assistant coaches don't line it or not, it should be a job requirement, since it is a tool that improves the bottom line
