Face-offs are part of the DNA at Adelphi. In each of Purdie’s 10 years as head coach, the Panthers’ main face-off midfielder has won more than 60% of his draws. Entering 2018, the player who'd held a stranglehold over the position in Division II — Limestone’s Kevin Reisman — graduated, and the Black and Yellow is a natural place to look for DII’s next top face-off star. Junior Mark Andrejack, the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook pick for specialist of the year, appears to be that guy. He won 65.3% of his draws in 2017; his 250 total wins were the most in DII. So far this season, he's won 67.7% face-offs in five games.

No secret that since Cornell has found a decent X guy their play has gotten way better. Winning zero in a game is a huge whole to climb.
