It has started with Idaho and UNLV missing the 2014 postseason because of Academic Progress Rate violations. Could the bowl system itself now be in danger of not having enough eligible teams?
Beyond those two schools, multiple Football Bowl Subdivision programs will soon be hit with APR violations, sources told CBSSports.com.

We all know that every SEC school with the exception of Vanderbilt wouldn't be bowl eligible. APR is a sham.

APR will no longer apply to P5 schools when they have the right to make their own rules. That was pushed through by the Presidents board of the schools. P5 school Presidents may talk academics, but its all about the money, and boosters, and the big schools Presidents are concerned about money.
