In regards to the topic at hand, I find it baffling that some actually believe this should/would be a linear process. We won 8 last year, we should win 9, then 10, then 11. Thats not how it works. Some around here have SHORT memories. Some choose to poo-poo the Pinstripe to bolster their own arguments but the bottom line is he won 8 games in year 2 coming off Greg Robinson.

This year, we've taken a step back, and its undoubtedly been disappointing and frustrating. The coaching staff hasn't done a very good job this year (and Marrone has recently admitted as much). But let's not make this out to be some disastrous debacle where we have gone back to being a 3 win team. We're 5-5 and still have a legit chance at getting back to a bowl. If some people don't understand that there will be short-term fluctuations in performance, I can't help them out there.

Marrone's ultimate judgment will come when he has a roster full of his own players who fit his system. I personally don't believe what we have now offensively is remotely close to what he's trying to build or what his vision is. I'm willing to give him some time to get everything into place. If he isn't successful then, at that point we can all chat about making head coaching changes. But the fact that we have posts on this board calling for his head in year 3, with a 5-5 record coming off our first bowl win in 10 years is beyond ridiculous (that words not strong enough).
