Alan said he and his brother used to play his sister and father in 2-on-2. Hyper competitive.
Griffin said he's meshed well with the rest of the guys on the team. Hopes he can show that he can do more in Syracuse than he did at Illinois. "I know a lot of you guys think I can just shoot the 3. But I came here to prove otherwise."
Griffin said workout out with Jimmy Butler showed him what it was like to be a professional. It's an all-day approach.
Griffin said Gerry McNamara has helped him with his playmaking ability. That includes finding spots on the floor where he has room to attack.
Griffin said part of what made Syracuse appealing was the opportunity for an increased on-ball role. SU's staff talked about that with him during the recruiting process and they all understand the playmaking void left by Elijah Hughes.
