2004 or 2006 Perry Patterson yes, but probably not 2005 Perry Patterson. Under 50% completions, almost twice as many INT's as TD's. I think Rex can match that.Who wouldn’t take Perry Patterson on this team right now?
Our leading touchdown receiver in 2005 was some guy named Nicholas Chestnut (who?), who caught a sizzling 3 of them...on 8 catches. Man, efficiency.
Check out this Qb play!

Why? Are you going to recruit NJ and PA like everybody else? Or NY where football is basically dead? The little train: 10-37
Ohana: 24-29
What can we take from this?
Maybe the next coach should have strong east coast ties.
Is the 2005 team playing backups on the O-line too?
Yes i would. Our best success has come from eastern coaches. Mac, P, Doug. I also look around the country and by and large good coaches dont travel well outside of their background areas. Joe is one hell of a coach and he failed in Mississippi. I also believe that NY NJ PA New England can produce a solid 40% of our recruits each year. 8-9 kids. Why? Next up Florida, and the Beltway. Our assistant coaches should all have strong ties to our primary recruiting areas. Relationships matter. Heck look at Cav. He cant land a kid in our own back yard but is having success in Hawaii. Why? Because of connections. Last point. NY athletes are plentiful but raw. The last few years have proven that with development they can turn into stars. So yes my next coach and staff would have a very strong east coast and Florida background.
Agreed. How about strong eastern seaboard/Florida ties?ny athletes aren’t playing football. That’s the entire point. NJ/ PA is overfished. I think if you look at our current roster you would be surprised how many kids from Northeast and Canada we have on our roster. I just disagree, I think because it worked 40 years ago does not mean much. Game has changed a lot since P was wearing his polyester coaching shorts.
hire the best coach and give him time. there’s coaches who have done well and poorly coaching where or where they are nit from but football is a dying sport in the Northeast
