Well WVU didn't and the fact is 4 BE teams were ranked that season at various points in the season which was a big contributor to them rising as high as #2 in the polls (they were 3rd in the BCS at that point and weren't even guaranteed a spot in the title game because other matchups hadn't played out yet).  The Big East is lucky to get any in the top 25 this season and only one will be ranked at season's end and if you think with our schedule based on how SC and Mizzou performed the whole season we would finish ahead of ND who has an SOS ranked 18th or Bama then I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.  Once WVU left it was the only school in our conference that would actually beat a ranked non-conference foe and league credibility went with them.  LVille was 9-0 going into our matchup and wasn't even in the top 5 (or ahead of a 1 loss FSU in the rankings for that matter)  ... do I really even need to explain the perception of the BE and how it would affect us even if we ran the table?
