In an earlier post I suggested that if Syracuse’s most important recruiting rivals were Rutgers and Connecticut, (and we are looking for a rivalry), maybe we should have a trophy awarded to the school of those three who wins the season’s series against the other two schools. If a school sweeps the games against the other two, they get to hold the trophy until another school does it. If they repeat or if no team wins both games, they keep it until someone else does sweep. It would maintain interest in the series and gain publicity for all three schools. You want to recruit in New York, New Jersey and New England? Win the series.
